However, Gasha keeps her composure when questioned on Twitter by a fan why she quit the label . She gave an epic response “Honestly it wasn’t about Stevens , I co-owned the label and we conceived it with love and ambition. I just don’t work well in any environment where my creative process is controlled or defined . I don’t regret my decision , just regret that it went so public causing personal damage.

Afrima (All Africa Music Awards) jury just churned out the list of nominees on the official Facebook page and Cameroon is dominantly represented in the Best Central African Artist categories .

Locko and Jovi were nominated in the Best Male Central African artist category while Reggae Dancehall sensation Ewube ( Fall 4 u) , Daphne (Calee) , Mimie, Reniss (Manamuh),  Merveille, Montess (In luv wit a gunman)  mount the pedestal in the Best Female Central African artist category.

The dust is yet to settle after Magasco’s name was erased from the list of nominees at AFRIMMA and substituted with Mr Leo and we are now facing another devastating blunder.

The second successive nomination of Montess with the same song “In love wit a gunman” for this year’s edition of the award stirs up controversy and submerges us into a doubt of its credibility.

It’s quite evident that the judges are not meticulous in their selection , thus rendering the award debatable.

“Reflection EP” is a collection of four distinctly unique tracks that explore the themes of Love, heartbreak, forgiveness, believe and hope. With
the EP now available in digital outlets and all the tracks streaming on various online channels, we hope you will share the links with your ever-growing readership so Daphne can be heard. We continue to value your partnership and support. Please consider sharing the below links with your readership.

“Reflection is about love redeemed…it’s about forgiveness and allowing love to come back to you,” said Daphne. The song tells the story of a lover who
is around when things are good and goes away when “things dem bad…” But the best part of the song is when Daphne asks her runaway lover to “come right away, bring all your pain along let’s burn it down …”
Reflection Lyric Video:

The theme of love continues on “Broken”, a song about a girl who’s been hurt and left broken-hearted. “This song is a chapter in everyone’s love
book,” says Daphne. “Especially for girls…(she laughs)…you want to love again but you are so scared…’cause you are broken”.
Broken Lyric Video:

Her third single seems to be a solution for the first two. After being jilted on “Reflection” and left “Broken”, Daphne turns to the “food of the
soul…the reason why we laugh, the reason why we cry, the reason why we smile, the reason why we live” – Ndolo (Love). She personifies love as God.
“God is so beautiful, and will always be the pillar of my being,” says Daphne. “I turn to God for everything” she continues.

Ndolo Lyric Video:
Ndolo Audio :

My message with the three songs is simple. “When you feel let down and broken into pieces, you need to reflect…reflection will lead you to the
truth, will lead you to love…to God (Ndolo)”.
