Thierry Olemba was born on July 13, 1982 in Douala. His music incorporates elements of  makossa music,  reggae ,dancehall  and hip hop music. He is noted for his beat boxing.He is usually called the ”Human Beat Box”.He joined a rap group called New Black Power in 1990 as their youngest member and has sinced collaborated with other artists.

He signed a record contract with Farwell Records in 2007 and his debut album followed, called The Human BeatBox. His first single is Ma Grand mere joue au Billard, meaning “My Grandmother Plays Billard” which has enjoyed enormous success in terms of capturing a huge fanbase.He has collaborated with various French artists on stage like La Fouine,Diams,Passi,Jacob Devarieux,Singuila and more.The Human Beat Box will be performing live at the French Cultural centre Yaounde,on Friday the 12th of March 2010 from 7pm prompt.

Nexdim Empire has entered a partnership deal with MAMA STREETS and MOSAIQUE to organise the Cameroon Hip Hop Festival which will take place on the 19th of March 2010 at the Buea Trade Fair ground.It will be a ground -breaking event with performances by various Buea based artists and some guest acts from Douala.This will be covered by Mboa,Canal 2 exclusively.

Having represented Cameroon at  the  Gabao festival,DUC Z is getting ready to release his new album entitled  « ART & BIZ ATTITUDE ».

MBAH JULIUS M a.k.a JINXED is another remarkable Cameroonian artist. The name ”JINXED” comes from a dictionary word meaning ”bringing 2 much bad luck”. This is one of the best rappers around  with a spell-binding and ear- smacking mixtape of 16 tracks titled ”RAP 101”. From the title ”RAP 101” ,you can tell it is a course to educate rappers. Mainly, the mixtape contains rap education to others who are messing up  rap today. He raps in his  track titled ”JINXED’‘:

From his lines we do not doubt that ‘Jinxed’ is a lyricist and 5 star artist coming up. Unlike other rappers who are into using obscene languages, Jinxed all through his 16 track mixtape does not say a single obscene word. His flows are fabulous and his word play and rhymes are so original. You would think you are reading to a rhyme dictionary.
Music, he says is his life and he listens to music and pens down lyrics all the time.

He narrates that his love for music started from the baby ages and he has and would always be a number fan of  Pop legend, Micheal Jackson. His inspiration comes from artists like Papoose, Nas, Jay z, Cassidy, Fabolous and many more. He is a a graduate from the University of Buea.

Plainfield, New Jersey transplant by way of The Republic of Cameroon – the meaning of Luxland’s very name speaks of his destiny as a superstar, born to shine as the light of the land! A natural hustler, Lux has long lived the life of struggle. Listening to the parental admonition which extolled values of hard work and dedication, it was only natural that Luxland’s art soon imitated his life.

At the age of 14, he responded to the cry of Hip-Hop/R&B music reaching out for him. Like a master chemist, Lux has combined his hard knock knowledge of the streets with the influences of old school Hip-Hop (Rakim, Run DMC), R&B (Michael Jackson, Gerald Levert, Keith Sweat) and Reggae (Bob Marley), into a formula all his own, referring to his unique style as urban pop. Not simply a singer/songwriter, he is a pianist – pouring his heart and soul into his music. JPS a.k.a Just Plain Sick is a London based African Hip Hop trio consisting Henry “Cally P” Edet, Victor “Jay-Vic” Johnson and Valentine “Baby Africa” Ashu.Valentine ”Baby Africa” lived in Kumba,Cameroon for 13 years before immigrating to UK in 1999.In 2004 while studying for their ‘A’ Levels at Newham College,they were is inspired to carve a niche for themselves in the music industry.
Blending various musical flavors of their African origin, the group set about creating a hip hop sound ideal and distinctive from many of their peers at the time. In just over six months, the group had gained popularity locally and went on to perform in cities such as Sheffield, Hull, Bournemouth and also getting the opportunity to showcase their music in Italy and Germany.

Their marketing and promotional skills saw them achieve a slot on a Ben T.V show in 2005 dedicated to emerging urban talents in the U.K. Despite the widespread acclamation and promising future, the boys took a break from making music together as academic challenges became a priority.

Kick starting their resurgence in December 2008 was a Jay-Vic appearance on the widely popular M.T.V Hugo boss urban competition followed by an appearance at the Miss Cameroon UK 2008 competition supporting established Cameroonian artists. Currently promoting singles ‘E Dey’ ‘Bad Girl’ and ‘Crazy’ the trio have already gained radio play and supported popular Nigerian artists such as Olu Maintain.

Work on the forthcoming debut album “JPS: Home and Away” has already began and is set for a summer release. Blending the vast musical styles that have influenced the group from Hip hop, soul, R n B, Makosa, High Life and Dancehall, Salsa and many others. The album threatens to establish JPS as African hip hop artist finally capable of conquering the global as well as home entertainment industry.
