The 6th edition of the dance and percussion festival Abok I Ngoma is currently going on in Cameroon. The festival is supposed to hold from July 16 to 31 in three towns, Yaounde, Ebolowa and Akom2. The opening ceremony took place yesterday at the Conference Centre in Yaounde. This year’s festival will feature contemporary dance forms as well as hiphop. Since the first edition, the festival’s prestige has increased although its main themes -dance and percussion-are still largely unknown to the wider public.
