The urban music scene has been under turbulence in the past 2 days with abusive and controversial tweets streaming from the ‘Mboko God’ Jovi and he doesn’t show any signs of ending his rants any time soon. Amusing enough, this crazy tweets surfaced just after the Bob Marley Day celebration.

Could he be high on weed or just having fun with his phone ?

Jovi, on Twitter posted derogatory utterances about Stanley Enow calling him a “Wet pussy about to get f**ked’  Magasco ‘ A pig and Pit Bacardi his father”. Damn ! Check below.

These harsh insults hurled at these artists has triggered a feud between Jovi and Stanley Enow’s camps while Magasco as usual remains silent.

The Bamenda Boy has rather been posting photos of his show with Booba and Dosseh at the Omnisport stadium in Yaounde like he doesn’t care.

Fans have also been busy judging Jovi’s latest awkward behaviour on social media.

Albeit Stanley’s silence, his brother and Motherland label head Martin Enow has not taken it lightly. He reacted to Jovi’s tweet by challenging him to come

to Douala in the next 24 hours if he’s man enough. Stanley Enow’s manager Didier Kouamo has also come out to reprimand Jovi.

Martin Enow has extended his fury to Jovi’s girlfriend Celine Fotso with torrents of insults. Celine has blocked Martin on Twitter as we report.  Lol.

Jovi later stated that he hopes everyone is being entertained. Is he insinuating the insults were just to erupt a stunt or is Jovi actually serious ?

Apart frim blogosphere reactions, Salatiel has also reacted to the ongoing feud saying real artists with talents should rather beef in songs not act like ‘Hip hop cry babies’.

Today May 15, Jovi just changed Stanley Enow’s name to ” WET P” and calls his music ‘wack’. He adds that he will never collaborate with the Stanley Enow.

This is just adding salt to a bleeding wound. His twitter fingers are more active than ever.

What is his reason for throwing shades at the Bayangi Boy ?

The famed “Bamenda Boy” Magasco has been having a torrent of criticism hurled at him for performing at the Presidential end of year party infront of the first lady Chantal Biya. This deluge has been due to the ongoing Anglophone struggle which the people think he was supposed to be part of the resistance and a voice of change.

Worth-noting, Magasco has been one of the celebrities who has been sending out positive messages for a peaceful protest and advocating for the Anglophone cry to be heard.

The artist took to social media to express his deep commitment for the peaceful struggle and apologizes to the people who feel hurt by his action ; dinning and merrying with the regime. To some , Magasco is a two-timer or traitor.

In defence to the rhetoric,  Magasco said some of such contracts are signed 8 months before and he couldn’t do otherwise. He remains committed to the Anglophone struggle.

However, some fans can’t take this criticism on Magasco. To them, he was just doing business.

The speedy rise and rise of urban music in Cameroon from 2010 witnessed the starting up of a plethora of record labels.

Albeit some were simple Facebook pages with virtual CEOs, others made an indelible impression .
2011/2012, MUMAK took the industry by storm introducing a cream of talented music powerhouses like Jovi , Magasco, Mr Elad and Reniss managed by Jules Nya.
Friends Jules Nya and Jovi were indispensable visionaries who turned creative imagination into concrete evidence.
“Don 4 kwat” released in 2011 was phenomenal, blazing a trail and igniting a new era.
The entire “H.I.V” Album by Jovi was a remarkable revolution in Cameroon. This ended the era of Krotal, Ak’sang Grave, etc.
The label was considerably propitious, sparking a beam of hope for the industry.

The new concept of branding , gorilla online /offline marketing and a different level of video making took the industry to another dimension. February 16th made the magic with his visuals.
The industry was shocked when
Jovi and Jules Nya announced they were parting ways in 2013 after thrilling Cameroonians with a sizzling music. The reason for their severing of ties remained unknown.
Jovi and old business partner/ artist Rachel Applewhite started New Bell Music . Their relationship started in India where Jovi went to study audio engineering.
Reniss, Jovi’s long-time protegee from Mambanda remained fidel to his boss and continued working with him.

Jovi later recruited Pascal, Shey, Tata and Tilla to join New Bell Music.
Jules Nya relocated to Douala and continued doing music business under MUMAK imprint. He moved to Douala with Mr Elad whom he brought into MUMAK charmed by his incredible singing and music producing ingenuity back in Kumba. Magasco was still under Jules Nya’s management.

Things became stale when the “Line loba” hitmaker Magasco on “Hello” CRTV presented a new manager, a certain Barrister and proceeded to shoot the video of “Kumba market” without the consent of his boss Jules Nya , the MUMAK label head. The video did not even carry any MUMAK tag.
Magasco was hasty and antsy to reach his goal which let him to release a video that was massively criticised to be mediocre , way below expectation. Magasco had a misunderstanding with Jules. Magasco caught the attention of many music investors following his impressive releases under MUMAK and collaboration with Jovi.
Magasco was later signed to Pit Bacardi’s label Empire Company after the label dropped X Maleya.
Mr Elad dropped a sizzling tune titled “Chakara” in 2013 and still under Jules’ management clinched a remix with Nigerian superstar Iyanya. He seemed dissatisfied with his business relationship with Jules.
MUMAK, a house that inspired Cameroonian aspiring artists and gave them the dream became inhabited by one man Jules Nya.
2015, Tilla was later fired from New Bell Music by Jovi.

As Magasco keeps basking in fame, he’s equally been getting a bitter pill from detractors and haters.

Recently , a US- based event promoter and DJ called DJEric Lemessi threw shades at Magasco for not being able to afford $25,000 for a collabo with any American A-list artist even if he and his family join a cult.

This is what he said ;

“Magasco and his family can enter “FAMLA” and they will not even have $25,000″.

Magasco got exasperated when he saw this insult being torpedoed at him. The Bamenda Boy took to Facebook to immediately address the issue calling on DJEric to get his name out of his mouth.

This is what he said: ” DJeric Lemessi , I do music for the passion not the money . Am thankful for my gift of talent which is priceless …thanks for the encouragement and keeping my name off ur mouth . God bless my hustle “

This insult hurled at Magasco also targeting his innocent family has caused unprecedented  waves of tension on social media and his fans are not taking it lightly. They’ve been throwing verbal spears on the US based event promoter , some calling him a “Khati khati” seller in US.

DJERIC has not been apologetic. He has rather posted a video on Facebook saying he owes no apology for what he has uttered.
