REVIEW: STANLEY ENOW – TAKE OVA

Multiple award-winning artist Stanley Enow has dropped his fresh single titled “Take Ova”.

The tune conveys a narrative of his hustle, triumph and quest for more financial exploits.

The song starts with a rhythmic introductory key that instills a soulful feeling, accompanied by a choral harmony; “Ehhh…I must to get, money for my hustle, if I no get enough, I go work till I get”

The melodic notes are well orchestrated to magnet the listener’s attention. Stanley Enow’s lyrics are quite appealing and relatable. He starts by chanting about tenacity, strong will and the urge to never give up no matter the adversity;

“One man army on a journey, from Bafoussam to New York City. See this star life e no easy. When pot don broke your mbanga na your oil”

Stanley Enow later switches to a dancehall vibe as the instrumentation is complemented with a thumping bass line. Here, a saxophone embellishes the sonic charm leading to the chorus. “African Gentleman I di take ova ” . Stanley Enow later expresses his drive to take Cameroon to another level, no matter what it takes.

His second verse is more energetic and he mentions successful Africans like OBO, Davido and Fally Ipupa. This is aimed at conveying a figurative image of resoluteness and dogged determination.

“Take Ova” is a ingeniously-produced by Kayomusiq.
