Cameroonian Urban musicians have noticed their innate potentials and have considered the dire need to unite for a common goal to establish a machinery to build credibility and quality for their products to meet international standards.
The Cameroon Urban Musicians Association with the acronym CUMA is a newly initiated platform open to all Reggae, Soul, R&B,Jazz,high life, makossa, Hip Hop,Gospel, Folklore artists , producers , marketers and DJs in Cameroon and in the diaspora.
Through its programs and services, CUMA assists practitioners in the music industry to build sustainable careers and find an exciting level of success in the African musical landscape necessarily designed for urban music achievement.
In the general assembly meeting held yesterday October 22nd at Alliance Franco-Camerounaise premises , salient points were raised as regards registration, membership, and the forth-coming event which is the official launching ceremony. The meeting brought together South West based artists and stakeholders in the industry like Wegmuller Efokoa, Master Chill of Chillen Muzic, Steveslil Njang of NexDim , Oneke John (Galaxy J One), Dr Sley, Squaz, Sparx , Cobra and many more.
