His brand new single ”Boom Shakata” off is 4-track-LP has been hitting the airwaves , receiving a positive feedback from the Cameroonian music-loving public. The album covers themes like the unity of Africa, Love, racism etc. ”Boom Shakata” is a song which calls on Africans to wake up from slumber and fight for their destiny. This album features a Belgium-based Congolese artist on the song titled ”Ma ding Wa” and he wishes to collaborate with other artists from Burkina Faso, Senegal , and France. After the release of 3 compiled singles dubbed ” Le Phoenix ” by the end of 2008, Cameroonian Hip Hop newcomer TAPHIS is back with a brand new LP scheduled to be released on the 1st of October 2010 with the same title. He was normally supposed to finance the entire project by himself but like Soulja Boy who was discovered on Myspace or Justin Bieber discovered on Youtube, Taphis happened to find a producer Facebook who got him signed to his new label Lemso-Far based in Paris. His 10 track-album features mainstream Hip Hop sensations like Ebène, Prosby, Palesto, Kreezry, Young Thug, Mister Kriss and Cast-P.
Isidore Tameu a.k.a Taphis is a young rapper who hails from Yaounde. Influenced by albums released by MC Solaar and Matt Houston, he developed a passion to start penning his own lyrics and got integrated with Caporegime and Shy Fx’s M’Perfect Records. After being part of groups like Bio 52 and Arsenal Family, he decided to start a solo career.In 2007, he released a single titled ”Dis- leur” produced by Mystique Djim. He is currently signed under Ghetto Muzik. ”Mon Biz” is the first single of his upcoming album.
