R2E main man Ambe is apparently unstoppable and definitely journeying to greater heights. After an impressive “Rendezvous ” which enabled him clinch an AFRIMA nomination, he has released a new video of the song ” Les filles de Mon pays” as a follow up. He has certainly carved a niche and remains within the confines of a benskin/ Afro pop fusion.
One month ago, AMBE, a young artist from the North West province of Cameroon was releasing his brand new single titled RENDEZ-VOUS, with already close to 10.000 plays on Soundcloud.
The highly anticipated video will officially be released today, and the public will get a chance to be embarked on a journey filled with excitement, good vibes, and special effects.
An original concept centred around the lyrics of the song, with characters playing their role to perfection. Luxury and beauty, (pretty) girls dancing to the song, and special appearances by Phillbeats (who produced the song), Kezzy (sound engineer), DJ Donald, and the sax man (like we love to call him!)
AMBE pays special tribute to the Bamileke tribe of Cameroon in this fusion of bendskin and afropop. No need to understand the lyrics to be carried away and appreciate this title that aims to inspire and make you dream?not bad coming from a ghetto child! RENDEZ-VOUS is the first song from this artist formerly known as Denzyl (from hit songs Monika and Leavam So). The video that was directed by Dante-Fox is available on YouTube.
A rebranded Denzyl with a new pseudonym Ambe has finally dropped a new terrific single titled “Rendez Vous” produced by Phillbeat . He describes the song as a fusion of Afropop and Benskin. The song is totally breathtaking . The artist has dropped his former name to adopt his real name Ambe. But lets delve to this :
The world has known him for over a decade as Denzyl, the magic voice behind promising singles like “You stole my love way” , “Leavam so” “Monica”. Worthnoting, depending on where you’re at in your career, changing your artist/band name can either be as easy as renaming a few social profiles or as difficult as destroying every trace of your previous incarnation and humbly starting from scratch.I checked out and discovered no other band or musician is using the name DENZYL , plus the name is googleable and catchy or maybe the name DENZYL no longer reflects the new genre of music he has dived into. So many questions keep illuminating. However, it would have been proper for the artist to communicate to his fans the reasons why he changed his name and take any criticism. No “esonghori ” tho. I go find Denzyl askam on NexDim Empire.

Denzyl the Makossa-Pop creator is back with a new single titled ”Nangaboko”. This perfectly honed song comes after ”Monika’ released a couple of months ago. He has been fine-tuning his art to add value and uniqueness to urban music in Cameroon , by fusing makossa and pop music. The song was produced by Mr ”Melody”‘ Elad of MUMAK .
Denzylhas been garnering fame and highly solicited as his hit video ”Monika’ keeps getting enormous airplay, registering over 70,000 views on Youtube. The Red Eye frontman is presently gearing up to drop a new single titled ”Nanga boko”. The production is being crafted by Mr Melody Elad Denis of Mumak . Here is the visual of his studio session at the MUMAK mansion.
After exploring the world of rap, afro pop and hip hop, Denzyl has finally decided to take his Country’s long consumed music, #Makossa to an international level. Denzyl’s latest joint, #Monika isn’t only buzzing within Cameroon but his brilliant component of #Makossapopfusion is what theRedEye Entertainment is sending out for a global appeal with the track.
Denzyl stands for #Originality in his music and his personality. As a matter of fact, some #Makossa old school long serving artists like Petit Pays, Prince Didi Eyango and also X-Maleya also believe the young man is taking steps towards the right direction.
“His music is not bad at all. X-Maleya supports young talents who show interest and dedication to their arts and Denzyl’s idea to mix makossa and pop is really good and different”….Roger (Lead singer, X-Maleya).
Denzyl is not only changing the idea of music in Cameroon but he is also giving a different feel to Makossa music to both Cameroonians and non-Cameroonians home and abroad. Some Cameroonians in the Diaspora have expressed their appreciation for his exceptional skills via the social networks and look forward to hearing better songs from the young stars the country is grooming nowadays.
“Originality is the key. I can’t come out sounding like a Nigerian or Ghanaian artist when there is a Cameroonian rhythm to be explored. It’s about making others enjoy our own music in the way we present it to them and that has to be different from the rest. Even Late Legendary Michael Jackson in his “Wanna Be Startin’ Somethin” tried to fuse #Makossa with pop from Cameroon’s own papa, Manu Dibango in his “Soul Makossa” Jam back in 1972 with the ending chant mama-se, mama-sa, mama-ku-sa”..… Denzyl tells D’CODED TV.
The #Monika crooner pays respect to his predecessors and says his inspiration comes from God and all those who have been there before him especially the successful group X-Maleya who is making Cameroon proud internationally at the moment.
Believe it or not peeps, Denzyl is going places. Let’s rally behind him and make our country proud of her products wherever we are. #SupportGoodMusic.
