After a faulty start to their , the Indomitable Lionesses yesterday returned to winning ways with a 4-1 spanking of the lady Elephants of Cote d”Ivoire. Two goals from Iven Mihamle and two others from Aboudi Onguene and Zouga Edoa sealed the deal. This victory puts them back in contention for a one of the two qualifying spots from their pole, that includes Nigeria, Ethiopia and Cote d”Ivoire. It is now widely expected that the Lionesses will qualify given that their last match pits them against Ethiopia who this far have shown all the characteristics of a point – sharing team. It may be a little too early to celebrate victory but this is a bold step in the right direction. Roar on Lionesses.
