At a time when Cameroon is searching for a reassuring pair of hands between the goal post, maybe he is the guy to look to. Cameroon’s Bloemfontein Celtic goalkeeper Amour Patrick Tignyemb a.k.a. “Safe hands” yesterday helped his club to a qualify for the semifinals of the Telkom Knockout Cup. Despite conceding three in the course of normal play, he did stop a penalty which enable his side knockout Orlando Pirates 5-3. In the course of normal play, he made several spectacular stops. Since moving to the club in 2008, the player has stretched himself to the limit for his club. Bloemfontein Celtic is his third professional club after stints in Tonnerre of Yaounde and Cotonsport of Garoua. His performances in recent times show that he has shrugged off the cranial injury he suffered sometime back. Hopefully, Jean Paul Akono is watching. Is he not ?
