Lodged in the heart of Funchal, Madeira, Cristiano Ronaldo’s birthplace is the Museu CR7, a state-of-the-art museum dedicated to the Portuguese footballer.
In the museum, you find all his lifetime trophies and literature about his exploits. It is a major tourist attraction in Portugal, with 5 euros paid for access.
Above the museum is a hotel, built in partnership between Ronaldo and the Pestana Group.
This begs the question?
Why are African football legends not celebrated in the same way? Why isn’t there a Samuel Eto’o Museum in Cameroon, despite the trophies he has earned in his career.
Samuel Eto’o Museum is supposed to be a tourist attraction in Cameroon.
