PROFILE:MARCUS MOKAKE MWAMBO

Marcus Mokake Mwambo, is a Cameroonian attacker and offensive  midfielder who currently plays for French League 2 side  SEDAN.He  was born in Limbe on the 30th of November 1981.He started his career after participating at the Brasseries Top Cup competition where he was selected and groomed at the Brasseries Football school, Douala.

After leaving secondary school, he signed with South West based then second division side Tiko United in 1995-1996.Subsequently, Mokake moved to Fovu of Baham where he became the team captain, and played for the Junior National team.

He was the best player in Cameroon in 1999 with Fovu of Baham and won the Crack D’or (Gold) Trophy- Cameroon’s best player award.He was also named second best player in Cameroon with Fovu in 2001, winning the Crack d’Argent (silver). He also won the Cameroon cup with Fovu and was named man of the match.

He was later transferred to Canon of Yaounde where he had a meteoric rise to the Indomitable Lions after emerging as highest goal scorer in the last All African Games in Abuja, Nigeria. He was named best player again in Cameroon in 2003, winning the Crack D’OR for the second time. He later became man of match with Cannon by winning a Second Cameroon cup.

Mokake moved over to Sedan where he suffered for some months after two injuries. He rejoined his club after recovering and they lost the French Cup finals with Monaco last year.

Mokake is also running FUTURE STAR, a football training school in Tiko.
