Dione Marbel Epie Ewane popularly known by the pseudonym Marnick is a gifted Cameroonian singer and songwriter. She was born on the 20th of May 1997. 

She is proudly “Bakossi”, hailing from Kupe-Muanenguba division, South West. 

She was born and raised in Kumba, where she nurtured a penchant for dancing and singing. In 2016, she started doing covers of her favorite songs. 

In 2020, she was selected as one of the winners of Tzy Panchak’s “Put your hands on We” challenge which, earned her a feature on the official song. 

Her adroitness caught the attention of Mic Monsta, who got her incorporated into the Kwata Music artist development program in 2021.

During this period, she was recording songs with different producers in order to find her voice and sound. 

In 2022 she was signed by Kwata Music Inc, becoming the sole female artist under the label. 

In 2023, she graduated with a Degree in Modern Letters from the University of Dschang.

She was reintroduced to the music scene with the song dubbed “Days Like This” featuring label mates; Mic Monsta, Dready Christ and Torch City. 

Her debut opus was titled “Fresh Mutumbu” (Produced By KinGunz), a 6-track EP, released in January 2022 .

The EP elicited her verve and sonic uniqueness, which made pundits to tout her as “The future”

She just dropped her sophomore EP of 6 Songs titled “Dione The EP” (Produced by Gaiuxx OTT).

The project is all about embracing one’s true essence and a display of how much she has evolved as an artist; finding a comfortable sound and expressing from her deepest nature.

Marnick proves her lyrical adeptness and uniqueness. The album features guest appearances from Mic Monsta, Sango Edi , Loic Sumfor , Cookie 


“Redemption Song” is about her career evolution as an artist. She elicits how she came to self-actualization, how music saved her and her dreams to succeed. 

“Chances” featuring Loic Sumfor is a melodic tune. Marnick tries to mend a crumbling relationship and implores for another chance to be loved again. With profundity, Loic expresses that he won’t be reassuring and bids goodbye. 

“On the Road” featuring Cookie samples Iyaz’s “Replay” but Marnick alternates the sound with grime-like vibes and relatable lyrics. Cookie is an awesome discovery. Her rap lyrics and verve on 100. 

“All or nothing” features Sango Edi and Mic Monsta. It is a dancehall-inspired love tune with a subtle blend of Makossa vibes injected by Sango Edi.

“Blessings calling” featuring Mic Monsta is about her struggles, growth and wins. 

“Mr Lover” conveys a message that; true love requires accepting imperfections.
