Nowadays, very few artists both male and female use their music to further social causes. Most readily fall into clichés and tend to make music which sounds more of déjà vu or entendu should we say. Dahlia Fotsing belongs to this select club of artists who are conscious of the privileged position they enjoy in society and put their talent to good use by trying to sensitise people. The artist burst unto the music scene in 2005 with the release of her album” Femme”. Much in line with her values and desire to promote women’s rights, the track “Allo police” is a critism of wife battery and urges women not to die in silence but solicit help when the going stops getting tough and becomes hot. It’s not the worst of songs .Watch for yourselves.
