Barely days after lifting the LG Cup,division has sprouted in the Lions’ den as the players have vehemently refused to take part in the friendly match against Algeria billed for November 15.After initially demanding the payment of match bonuses before flying to Algiers,the players have through a press release said they won’t play the match since they don’t want to bring the national colours to disrepute.This comes after the Algerian authorities dispatched a representative to Marrakesh with the said bonuses.It is rumoured that the Algerian football federation president has threatened to table the matter before FIFA and have the lions suspended from any FIFA -organised competition for failing to fulfill their obligations.The Algerians stand to incur huge losses from the Lions’ absence given the investments they had made to make this match possible.
