FECAFOOT denounces rumours of renewing Le Guen’s contract.

Information speedily circulated on the 7th of July relayed from French media , L’Equipe (page 4) and Info Sport about Iya Mohammed soliciting Paul Le Guen to renew his contract as coach of Cameroon to 2014.

The President of the Cameroon Football Federation decided to blow a whistle to end the unjustified rumours. Following an emergency meeting with his senior staff on Thursday, July 8, 2010, Iya Mohammed, the president of FECAFOOT, through his Secretary General, Tombi A Roko Sidiki declared that  Mr. Iya Mohammed had a telephone conversation with Paul Le Guen since June 29th, which was not a proposal to extend his contract . This simply suggests that Paul Le Guen must be responsible for conveying the information to Canal + which was also picked up by other medias.
