Honourable final outing for Indomitable Lionesses

The Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon yesterday saved faced during the just – ended African Women’s Championship. They defeated their  Nigerian counterparts 1-0 during the third – place match that preceded the finals between hosts Equatorial Guinea and South Africa. The host eventually ran out 4 -0 winners. The Lionesses’ win despite its belated nature earns them much – needed bragging rights in  a sub -regional women’s zone  where the Nigerian ladies traditionally reign unchallenged. This victory has a tinge  of revenge about it given that the Nigerian ladies thrashed the Lionesses prescription flagyl 2 – 1 during their opening match at the start of  this competition.
