Cameroon’s singer and activist, Wax Dey who is always been known as Wax  recently joined the African Magic family as presenter of Africa’s biggest breakfast show “Good Morning Africa which comes up on a daily basis on Channel 114, DSTV otherwise known as Africa Magic. He presents lifestyle and entertainment slots on the show’s weekender broadcasting throughout Africa every Friday through Sunday.

Much is required from our new entertainment disher as he is expected to use his wide experience and knowledge of the African continent to transform “Good Morning Africa” into a more dashing interactive breakfast show for all its viewers across Africa and the world at large, with the French-speaking countries as his targeted audiences.
Named Man of the Month in May 2010 by American Magazine, Ladybrille for his use of music to transmit social messages and greatly admired by producers of “Planet Image” productions, the music socialite who is proud and happy to be part of “Good Morning Africa” sees his new role as a platform for him to extend those messages across a wider spectrum of Africa and entertaining viewers at the same time. He even went ahead talking about some of the already highlighted social issues greatly affecting the African continent raised by “Planet Image” CEO, Wale Akinlabi such as human trafficking and xenophobia.

IT should be noted that Wax Dey is a former brand ambassador for the City of Johannesburg, Spokesperson and communications consultant for the United Nations. In 2004, he took some time as a  writer and came out with a book entitled “The Chosen One”, which was used for Grade 11 English in South African public schools. And in 2008 he worked with South African music promoter, Edgar Rathelele to establish Lolhiphop Records, a Pan-African recording and music publishing company. Worth knowing it is that Lolhiphop Records was involved in the publishing of the 2010 FIFA World Cup song Waka Waka by Columbian star Shakira, it has also released albums by a number of artists including South Africa’s Rowick Deep and Nigeria’s Flavour and now serves as a music promoter in South Africa.

Hey Wax NexDim Entertainment Wishes You All the Best, Go Man!!!

Hey NexDimers, the long anticipated video of ‘Beri Beri’ by LA based Cameroonian model and singer , Dencia is finally here for you’all to savour. The video has been a buzz in LA where it was shot , directed by Ali Zamani and it’s quite evident that it has been viral on the internet after it’s official release having about 16,200 views on Youtube . Dencia  is currently in Naija for a Campus Tour from October 29th to November 26th  alongside Nigerian acts.

Sad enough, best known as Reprudencia Sonkey , this high profiled model and video vixen  has been a victim of criticism by many music pundits since she indulged into music career.  Her shameful misrepresentation as half Nigerian has been the most scandalous. Evidence :

”From Hollywood to Naija the hottest new singing sensation to hit Naija “DENCIA” drops her hot new single “Beri Beri” This is what pop music is all about.
The hottest new music sensation to hit Nigeria is California based
recording artiste Dencia. Born to Cameroonian/Nigerian Parents on March 26” Source:

I actually doubt if international Cameroonian music legends like Richard Bona, Manu Dibango or Ettiene Mbappe actually faked  their nationalities to earn success in their careers. They are rather proud of their Cameroonian origin.

‘Beri beri’ is a sensual and honey laced joint with a smashy video . Hmm ! but she definitely has to work on her dance moves . You killed it !

Wuna watcham !

Jovi the up and coming Cameroonian Ghetto rapper that we profiled here on NexDim some months back has come up with an amazing video for the cool hit DON 4 KWAT. I must say this guy is representing Bonaberi to the fullest, I grew up in bonaberi and I relate alot to what he says. The video was directed by Febraury 16th who to me is one of the most talented video director/producer we have in the country right now. Here is what they had to say about the video release on their youtube profile:

Video premiere of MUMAK artist Jovi’s much anticipated club banger “Don 4 Kwat”. February 16th further confirms his rising reputation as one of Camer’s finest video director. This is a new beginning and indeed a breath of fresh air for Cameroonian hip hop. Watch out for Jovi’s forthcoming album H.I.V ; Coming soon!”
