The Minister for Sports and physical education Michel Zoah , and the chairman of FECAFOOT, Iya Mohammed had held a working meeting with representatives of the players during their stay in Portugal. Reportedly, the discussions were heated with respect to the amount payable to players for premiums of participation.
The players had wanted to see their premium contribution to be around 70 million CFA. The sports minister promised to discuss with his superiors to find a solution that suits all parties.
The amount of 45 million has been concluded for every player and coach of the delegation. Other members will receive 35 million. The premium of victory, was set at 15 million CFA francs per player.
