Sidney Tum, representing Cameroon was winner of Africa Star 2009. Guy Michel slightly missed this time at the finals held on the the 26th of June in Yamoussoukro.
The winner of season 2 of the reality TV music contest , Africa Star is Ette Nuella from Ivory Coast. She gained favour from the jury and public at the Institut Houphouet Boigny, Yamoussoukro . Guy Michel representing Cameroon was 2nd.
