Interviewed by Jeune Afrique on the conflict between Samuel Eto’o Roger Milla, the former coach of the Indomitable Lions, Pierre Lechantre – (African champion in 2000) has taken a strong position and has severely condemned the remarks of Roger Milla against the captain of the Indomitable Lions.
According to former coach, Pierre Lechantre did not beat around the bush, saying that Milla had no track record like Samuel Eto’o, nor the impact on charitable achievements like him.
To him, “Rogess” is jealous of his younger brother who plays in a big club, has won many titles and lots of money.
Mr Pierre had his time to assess cameroon football and had his failure. Roger Milla is a Hero. Eto is a good player and a would be legend also but he shloud learn to be humble and react like a leader, coz he is now at the national team. If Eto continue to react like this then i will advise jornalists to give him a distance before interview, else they will recieve a good box or he will have many more red cards as he did at the friendly between Cameroon Vs Portugal.
let him go to the wolrd cup and prove both milla and the entire cameroonians his worth. If not – Milla’s and Cameroonians comments will stand to say; he is yet to prove his worth to his nation as he had done to his european clubs.
Milla is right to awake his sleeping spirit.
Milla is our Hero
