The Whassom’s is a new Cameroonian group of two sisters , Shine and Sasha , 9 and 7 years old respectively. Their debut album ”Mes premiere pas” was released in June 2010 . Their style , massively influenced by R n B, Pop, and Rock n Roll communicates a message of love, charity, hope and revenge.
In ”Amour Impossible” , Sasha, the younger of the two budding artists (both pupils at St. Gerard Catholic School Deido, Douala), reveals her passion for a boy, a classmate of her older sister ;« T’étais en grande section et moi en petite J’étais la petite soeur » and a love affair is impossible between them.
In the album, they equally pay tribute to their beloved Aunt Sandra Richelle, who introduced them into music and their grandmother to whom they dedicate the song “N’siani”, meaning : “We miss you.”
