After a the debacle of the Cameroon National team at the 19th edition of the World Cup in South Africa which saw the end of Paul Le Guen’s regime, the Cameroon Football Federation has appointed a new coach. He is former German football player , Lothar Matthaus. What is still pending is the signature between Iya Mohammed and the Mannschaft recordman.
Matthaus, who is at the world cup finals in South Africa as a consultant for an Arabic television station, has had a chequered career as a coach since retiring as a player.
The former midfielder, who has not coached since leaving Israeli side Maccabi Netanya in June 2009 when the club experienced financial problems, has coached Austrian club Rapid Vienna, Partizan Belgrade of Serbia and the Hungarian national team from 2004-05.
It was about time Le Guen was kicked to the curb!!!
hope he will make a difference! anyway, he looks cute…
I just hope his early appointment gives him enough time to know his new boys before the time comes to use them.Welcome to Cameroon Mathy!!
