ban music duo Hoodfame have gone the General Valsero way. After having served fans the usual dose of love – themed songs with their early releases, the duo has this time around decided to explore more social concerns. In their latest release titled “Dis our land“, they criticise social ills like corruption that are plaguing our society. Is there any problem with this? Not really except that not every one is comfortable with artists becoming advocates of change, or should we say activists. Fans prefer their idols sticking to the same clichés; love, heartache, flirting, partying etc. People hate being reminded of problems when they are listening to music. This is not to say such songs are sure flops. Listen and make an opinion for yourself.
As a fan, i want to say this video explains the reality and i do enjoy it. I differ with your view on their music because this is the best music i have listened and watch the video in months. Please also, you cannot compare this track to another music act. THUMPS UP HOODFAME….I am joining your advocacy for change
