According to media reports, Montpellier’s Cameroonian defender Henri Beimo has decided to play it safe with his career. The player extended with the French Ligue 1 champions by a year. His former contract ran till 2015 but he has added an extra year. After the just-ended season which saw his club lift the title, speculation was rife that he was going to leave the club. In fact, English clubs like Liverpool were rumoured to be interested in the energetic player whose role was instrumental in his club’s success. This is surely a safe and wise decision for a player who has preferred to stay put than go for greener pastures that might turn out to be grey.
