Football : Eto'o leads Anzhi to victory with brace

Rogue Indomitable Lion and F.C Anzhi frontman Samuel Eto'o has continued his good form for his Russian side. During their most recent game against  F.C. Krasnodar yesterday, the attacker and captain scored twice as his side overcame their opponents 5-2. Eto'o's goals

came in at the 14th and 87th minute of play respectively. This latest victory takes them to third in the Russian league standings. In a post-match poll, fans voted Eto'o second man of the match. It is worth noting that Eto'o has played a crucial role in the club's recent good run which started during the qualifiers for the Europa league. If he continues putting in such performances, the club might be fit for a tussle for the championship crown with Russian league heavyweights. At this point in the championship, Eto'o and his club, while tailing CSKA Moscow, are right above  Zenit and Locomotiv.
