Cameroonian netizens were served a hot romantic movie on Friday July 5th, 2024, on Instagram.
Cameroon’s first daughter posted a romantic kissing video with her Brazilian bae Layyons Valenca. Earlier on, she posted that it was time for the world to know about her sexual orientation.
The kissing scene, which lasted for close to one minute fulfills her promise of giving part 2 of her official ‘coming out’ as queer.
Brenda is sticking her tongue out saying ; “Mouillé c’est mouillé, il n’y a pas de mouillé sec”, which means since the information is already out there, has to unveil every detail.
It seems her act of posting the video was knee-jerk . Brenda later deleted and posted that her account was hacked.
What are the implications of her coming out ?
Cameroon is globally-renowned as one of the most homophobic countries in the world.
The Penal code prohibits same-sex activities, with a penalty of 5 years imprisonment and a fine. (Article 347-1).
This poses a challenge as it concerns the President’s daughter.
