The eye-catching Red carpet moment that kicked-off the ceremony spotlighted Cameroonian celebrities in all spheres of entertainment clad in sparkles. An appraisal of what the normal eyes could not see

1. About 30 minutes to the official start of the Award ceremony, a meticulously selected playlist of Nigerian and American videos were shown on  screen to entertain the audience.

2. Frequent technical hitches of image display (Screen black-outs) when categories of nominees were announced .

3. The omission of the category for Best Male Actor went unnoticed by the organisers. Nominees in that category who stormed the ceremony expensively and elegantly-clad had a wave of shock run through their nerves as the ceremony ended without a winner announced.

4. The Award for Best TV presenter was handed to Thierry Ngongang of ‘Carte Sur Table’ on STV on set and later changed in favour of  Charles Ebune of ‘Global Watch’ on CRTV.

5. Otia Vitalis was nominated in the category for Best supporting Actor of the year and was appointed by the organisers to present the same award to the winner Alenne Menget.

6. It was evident that most nominees were not informed about their nomination for the award . This explains why majority of the winners were not present.

Highly emotional moments

1. A large standing ovation was given to Ben Decca when he clinched the award for Best Artist of All time and emotionally stated that he was immensely elated to be recognized for the very first time in his country.

2. Govinal Essomba hasn’t lost his steam yet.The Bikutsi powerhouse thrilled the audience with energetic dance moves  during an ebullient rendition of his classic  tune ”Naya Naya ”.

3. The man of the year was ‘Hein pere’ hit-maker Stanley Enow who bagged  two awards. He paid tribute to the other nominees in Artist of the year category for being bigger and better , considering himself just a beginner.
