Petit Pays changes his stage name, again

Ever the news maker, Petit Pays or should I say Effata is at it again. The Cameroonian makossa super star used the just ended  “La Grande Nuit du Palais” concert to steal the spotlight from the other performers. The star told the crowd that henceforth he will now go by the name

Effata which means open in Aramean. So, no more “Lawyer for women, le neveu de Jesus” or Rabbi Rabbi. He also said that this is the title of his 12 track – upcoming album due for release in January 2013. Far from being only a name change, this latest declaration can rightly be considered as further confirmation of the artist”s recent born- again leanings which started after he is said to have visited famous T.V. evangelist Prophet T.B. Joshua. This  however raises the question of whether he has truly repented or is simply trying to generate some hype. Remember Effata is culled from Mark 7-31.
