CALIXTHE BEYALA demonstrates exceptional writing qualities. After paying allegiance to Cameroonian musician , Manu Dibango in a documentary film, Calixthe  focuses this time on Cameroon’s football idols in a 139 pages book titled ”Les Lions Indomptables, Cinquante ans de bonheur”. The book shall be released on the 1st of October 2010 by Albin Michel.

She honors players from the  old to the new generation making mention of glories like  Samuel Mbappé Leppe, Yegba Maya, Manga Onguene, Mbida “Arantes”, Emmanuel Kunde, Tokoto, Roger Milla, Thomas Nkono, Joseph Antoine Bell. Remarkable goals like the overhead kick from Patrick Mboma against France at Stade de France in 2000 and the tragic image of Marc Vivien Foe collapsing at Stade Gerland.

She also talks of the Lion’s achievements in 1990 in Italy, 4 African cups won and 6 participations at the World Cup.
